PRODUCT DETAILS PRODUCT DETAILS

Cast iron V-shaped frame is a classic fixture used for cylindrical workpiece positioning in mechanical processing and testing. It is mainly made of high-quality gray cast iron (such as HT200, HT250), which is processed by sand casting, artificial aging or natural aging, and then precision grinding. It has good rigidity and moderate shock absorption, and can provide a stable support foundation for shaft and pipe workpieces.

Its core structure is a symmetrical "V" - shaped groove body, with a V-shaped groove angle of mostly 90 ° (there are also specifications such as 60 °, 120 °, etc.). The working surfaces on both sides are finely ground, and the surface roughness can reach Ra0.8 μ m. The symmetry error of the groove surface is controlled within 0.01mm, ensuring that the cylindrical workpiece can accurately fit the groove surface and achieve axis positioning when placed. Part of the cast iron V-shaped frame is designed as an integrated structure with a base. The base plane is ground and can be fixed to the workbench with bolts to enhance stability during use; Some models are equipped with detachable pressure plate devices, which can assist in clamping the workpiece and prevent sliding during processing or inspection.

To ensure long-term accuracy, the cast iron V-frame needs to undergo 2-3 aging treatments after casting to completely eliminate internal stress and avoid deformation caused by temperature changes or mechanical vibrations. Compared to steel V-shaped frames, cast iron materials have slightly lower hardness (generally HB180-220), but they have better vibration absorption and can reduce the impact of vibration on workpiece accuracy during processing. When in use, a single V-shaped frame can be used for positioning short axis workpieces, while two pairs can support long axis workpieces to ensure their coaxiality during processing or inspection.

Cast iron V-frames are widely used in workpiece clamping for lathes and grinders, as well as in roundness measurement, runout detection, and other scenarios. In the production and quality inspection of cylindrical workpieces such as automotive parts, motor shafts, and hydraulic fittings, they are important tools for achieving precise positioning and improving processing and inspection efficiency.
