The Cast Iron Lapping Platform is a benchmark tool used for surface grinding of workpieces in precision machining. It is made of HT300-HT400 high-strength gray cast iron as raw material and precision cast with resin sand. Through secondary artificial aging (200-250 ℃ insulation for 48 hours), internal stress is completely eliminated to ensure that the platform does not deform during high-frequency grinding operations.
The surface of the platform undergoes multiple precision grinding processes, and the flatness error is controlled within a strict range: platforms with an area ≤ 1000 × 1000mm are ≤ 0.005mm, and platforms with an area ≤ 1000 × 2000mm are ≤ 0.01mm. The surface roughness can reach Ra0.025 μ m, which can meet the grinding requirements of mirror level workpieces. The working face is equipped with grid shaped oil tanks (0.5-1mm deep) for storing grinding paste and improving grinding efficiency; The bottom adopts a honeycomb shaped rib structure, which increases the rigidity by 30% compared to ordinary box platforms and can bear a load of up to 800kg/m ².
The applicable scenarios are concentrated in high-precision fields, such as surface precision grinding of optical components, precision molds, hydraulic valve blocks, etc. It can correct the flatness error of workpieces, reduce surface roughness, and achieve micrometer level fitting accuracy of workpieces. When using, it is necessary to use specialized grinding paste (such as chromium oxide, silicon carbide), and perform reciprocating motion through manual or mechanical grinding machines. At the same time, a laser interferometer is used to monitor the flatness of the platform in real time to ensure the stability of the grinding reference.
Daily maintenance needs to be particularly meticulous: clean the surface with anhydrous ethanol after operation to remove residual grinding paste; Avoid contact with hard objects and use specialized wooden pallets to support during storage; Regularly wipe with suede to prevent rust, and the environmental humidity should be controlled between 40% -60%. Under standardized use, its precision life can reach more than 5 years, making it the core equipment for achieving ultra precision machining in the field of precision manufacturing.
