Sine Gauge

Sine gauge is a gauge that uses sine to define the measurement of angles and taper, also known as a sine ruler.

The hardness of the main working surface of the sine gauge shall not be less than 664HV, the hardness of the cylindrical working surface shall not be less than 712HV, and the hardness of the baffle working surface shall not be less than 478HV. The working surface of the sine gauge shall not have defects such as cracks, scratches, slag inclusions, etc. that seriously affect its appearance and performance. The maximum allowable roughness Ra of the main working surface of the sine gauge is 0.08 μ m, the maximum allowable surface roughness Ra of the cylindrical working surface of the sine gauge is 0.04 μ m, and the maximum allowable surface roughness Ra of the baffle working surface is 1.25 μ m.  

Sine gauges are generally used to measure angles less than 45 °, and their accuracy can reach 3 "to 5" when measuring angles less than 30 °.

All parts of the sine gauge should be demagnetized, and the main body and cylinder must be stabilized. The sine gauge should be able to be installed at any angle within the range of 0 °~80 °. The structural rigidity of the sine gauge and the strength of each part should be able to adapt to the grinding working conditions. Each part should be easy to disassemble and repair. The cylinder of the sine gauge should be reliably fixed to the main body with screws, and should not cause deformation of the cylinder and the main body; The tightened screws must not expose the cylindrical surface. The screw holes for fixing the cylinder on the main body shall not expose the working surface of the sine gauge.
