Cylindrical angle ruler

Cylindrical angle ruler is a high-precision measuring tool used in mechanical processing and precision inspection for calibrating right angles and measuring verticality. It is usually made of high carbon steel (such as T10A) or alloy tool steel (such as CrWMn) through forging, quenching, low-temperature tempering, and precision grinding, with high hardness (HRC58-62) and excellent wear resistance, which can maintain stable accuracy for a long time.

Its structure is cylindrical, with one end being a precise 90 ° right angle working surface. The cylindrical surface and the right angle surface are precision ground, and the perpendicularity error can be controlled within 0.005mm/100mm, with a surface roughness of Ra0.02 μ m. The right angle working face is usually designed in the shape of a blade or a flat surface. The blade shape is convenient for right angle calibration of the workpiece edge, while the flat surface is suitable for verticality detection of large-area flat surfaces. Some cylindrical angle gauges are also engraved with scales on the surface of the cylinder, which can assist in measuring the height or depth of the workpiece.

When in use, align the right angled working surface of the cylindrical angle ruler with the reference surface of the workpiece, and use the light transmission method or a dial gauge to detect the gap between the other surface of the workpiece and the working surface of the cylindrical angle ruler, in order to determine the perpendicularity error. Due to its cylindrical design, it can rotate 360 ° for measurement, making it convenient to detect the perpendicularity of workpieces in different directions, especially suitable for right angle calibration of complex structures such as box type parts and mold cavities.
