Non-Standard Inspection Tools are specialized measuring tools designed and manufactured for specific products, special parameters, or personalized testing needs. Compared with standardized gauges, they can accurately match the size, shape, and tolerance requirements of non-standard parts, filling the gap of general gauges in complex testing scenarios.
The customization process usually starts with requirement analysis: firstly, technical personnel communicate deeply with customers to clarify the structural characteristics of the testing object (such as irregular surfaces, irregular hole positions), key parameters (such as dimensional tolerances, geometric tolerances), and testing efficiency requirements; Subsequently, the fixture structure design is completed through 3D modeling (such as CAD, UG software) to simulate the testing process and verify feasibility; According to the requirements of detection accuracy, suitable materials should be selected - high-precision scenarios often use alloy tool steel (such as Cr12MoV) or aviation aluminum (such as 7075-T6), which are quenched and aged to improve hardness and stability. For ordinary scenarios, cast iron or engineering plastics can be used to reduce costs.
The core advantage of non-standard customized gauges lies in their strong targeting: for example, for complex hole systems in automotive engine cylinder blocks, multi station comprehensive gauges can be designed, and all hole positions can be checked for positional accuracy and perpendicularity with one positioning; For curved parts (such as mold cavities), customized profiling gauges can be used to quickly determine surface accuracy through gap fitting or coloring methods. In addition, inspection tools often integrate auxiliary functions such as positioning pins, clamping devices, indicator interfaces, etc., simplifying the operation process and allowing workers to complete inspections without professional measurement skills, greatly improving quality inspection efficiency in mass production.
In terms of precision assurance, the working surface of customized gauges undergoes precision grinding or wire cutting processing, with key dimensional tolerances controlled within ± 0.005mm and repeatability errors ≤ 0.002mm, fully meeting the stringent requirements of precision manufacturing. Widely used in industries such as automotive parts, aerospace, medical equipment, etc., it is particularly suitable for rapid qualification determination of non-standard parts in mass production and is a key tool to ensure product consistency and quality stability.
