Welding Jig Table is a specialized workstation engineered to integrate dedicated jigs and fixtures for high-precision, repeatable welding of specific components. Unlike Assembly Welding Tables that focus on general assembly workflows, this table is designed around custom or semi-custom jigs, ensuring that each workpiece is positioned identically during every weld—making it indispensable in mass production scenarios like automotive parts manufacturing, appliance fabrication, and standardized metal component production.
The core structure features a rigid base (typically HT300 cast iron or D28 steel) with a precision-machined surface, onto which dedicated jigs are permanently or semi-permanently mounted. These jigs—often crafted from hardened tool steel—incorporate locators, pins, and clamps tailored to the workpiece’s unique geometry. While assembly tables accommodate a range of part sizes and shapes, jig tables are tooled for specific components—their value lying in eliminating variation between units. They lack the open workspace of assembly tables but include specialized features like built-in alignment sensors that verify jig position before welding, triggering an alarm if tolerances exceed 0.03mm. This makes them ideal for critical welds where consistency directly impacts functionality, such as brake line brackets or hydraulic fitting connections.
Practical applications are tightly linked to standardized production: in appliance manufacturing, they weld refrigerator door hinges with uniform gap control; in electrical panel production, they secure terminal blocks for consistent welds on copper conductors; in furniture production, they ensure chair leg joints are welded at exact 90° angles. Their precision also extends to repair of high-tolerance parts, where jigs restore damaged components to original dimensions before welding.
